Malaria

Malaria is an infection caused by a parasite, anopheles mosquito. It can be life-threating if not treated on time.

Common Symptoms

Some of the common signs of malaria include-

  • Fever and Chills
  • Headache
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Muscle and Joint pain
  • Low energy
  • Trouble in breathing
  • Sweating in normal or cold temperature

Causes

Malaria Cause:

 

Malaria is caused only by a female infected mosquito. When the mosquito bite, it spreads parasites into your body into the liver and blood cells. The parasites lay eggs in the blood cells, multiply themselves and attack your body making you extremely weak.

How to Prevent It

How to prevent it

  • Use mosquito repellent
  • Keep your doors and windows closed
  • Keep your surroundings clean
  • Wear light coloured full sleeves shirts, full pants and socks when going outdoors
  • Get your child vaccinated
